We have great gift picks for every kid of every age.

Here are some of our favorites, and we'll be adding to the list!

Richard Scarry’s Best Storybook Ever: 82 wonderful stories for boys and girls

A treasury of Scarry’s best work. Includes samplings from favorite Golden Books, “I am a Bunny” in its entirety, Mother Goose rhymes, the months of the year, trains, planes, colors, letters – 288 pages jam-packed with Richard Scarry’s lovable characters.

Pirateria: The Wonderful Plunderful Pirate Emporium by Calef Brown

Ahoy there, Mateys! Here is a rollicking rhyming book about an emporium that sells everything a buccaneer (or mutineer) could possibly need for adventures on the high seas.

Dinosaurology

The latest in the "-ology" books, this one is all about dinosaurs!

Elephant & Piggie by Mo Willems

These books are sure to be a hit with beginning readers. Grown-ups will also appreciate Mr. Willems' humor and often wry drawings. Also deals with sharing, compromise, feeling good about yourself, and other issues that pop up between friends.

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore by William Joyce

A wonderful story, beautifully illustrated, about a boy's lifelong love of books, and how it is passed on to others.

Bread and Jam for Frances by Russell Hoban; illustrated by Lillian Hoban

Frances loves bread and jam so much, she could eat it for every meal! But for how long? Will Frances ever eat spaghetti, scrambled eggs, or peanut butter again?

I am a Bunny by Richard Scarry

One of our all-time favorites. Nicholas the Bunny introduces young readers to his world and to the seasons, in this richly illustrated board book.

Trades for Store Credit Schedule

We want your books! Please bring in your trades for store credit Saturdays 10 - 3, as listed below. No appointment is necessary, but please call first to confirm.

We will be very busy for the holidays, so we'll have reduced times in December.

Store credit is half of what we would sell the book for. You may use your store credit for any used book in the store, and toward 30% of the cost of a new book (for example, if you would like a new book that is $10, you may use $3 of store credit and pay $7 cash).

If you have old store credit, please stop by or call. All store credit from 2012 and prior will expire at the end of the year. All store credit from 2013 will expire one year from the last time you were in the store. This is basically a housekeeping thing -- we have accumulated hundreds of traders over the years, and it is a bit overwhelming!

Thank you for your continued support, and see you soon!

We will be looking at books on the following Saturdays:

November 16
November 23
We WILL NOT be looking at books November 30
December 7
December 14
We WILL NOT be looking at books December 21

Thanks to all of the ghosts and ghouls, old friends and new, who stopped by to visit on Halloween. Frightening or friendly, it was great to see everyone! We didn't have a chance to snap everyone, but here are photos of some of our friends who came by. It was great Halloween, and we're looking forward to a happy holiday season, with Thanksgiving and December right around the corner!
