Hi there!

Do you need any book recommendations for some young adult readers? How about The Hobbit? The Hobbit is a great modern classic and is the enchanting prelude to The Lord of the Rings but was originally written as book for J.R.R. Tolkien’s children.

Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit who enjoys a comfortable, unambitious life, rarely traveling any further than his pantry or his cellar. But his contentment is disturbed when the wizard Gandalf and a company of dwarves arrive on his doorstep one day to whisk him away on an adventure. They have launched a plot to raid the treasure hoard guarded by Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon. Bilbo is reluctant to take part in this quest, but he surprised himself by his resourcefulness and his skill as a burglar.
We are so excited about the movie adaptation, which will be released on December 14th in case you didn't know. We have hardback, 75th Anniversary editions which would make for an awesome gift, and paperback editions in stock.
